Hey, I'm Tenneil

I live in Perth, Australia, and this is my creative outlet where I blog about beauty, my life and everything in between. I enjoy the '80s, the '90s and anything French, and some of my favourite things in life include music,  film, summer and a nice cup of tea.

Wishful Thinking #2: Winter Wardrobe

Wishful Thinking #2: Winter Wardrobe

I'm not a winter person. At all. The slightest cold wind is enough to send me into shivers (and I want to move to Melbourne - ha!) and there's nothing more depressing than leaving and coming home from work in the dark. However, if there's one thing I look forward to during this time of the year, it's the fashion. As much as I'm a summer girl through and through, I love my coats, jackets, boots and vampy lipstick. I feel like you can have a lot more fun with your look during the colder months and look a lot more dressed up, which isn't always possible when you're wearing as little clothing and makeup as possible during the summer. To get me through the colder months, I thought I'd put together a wishlist of clothing, accessories and beauty bits that I can't wait to welcome into my wardrobe.

Tenneil and Topshop. Topshop and Tenneil. The love is real, you guys. Adding another denim jacket to my wardrobe is perhaps a tad excessive as I already have two, but they're such a staple to me and I wear mine to death. I think it's an easy way to some some colour to an outfit as I love my blacks, greys and whites. I fell in love with this MOTO Vintage Oversized Jacket and I actually don't own an oversized denim jacket. I love the washed out denim and cuffed sleeves - y'know, the whole '90s look. I have a lot of basic tops in my wardrobe and I seem to always be adding more. I guess I'm just drawn to the simplicity and the fact that you can wear them with anything and during any season. I particularly think this Skinny Polo Crop will be great for winter with the high neckline keeping me warm. Duster jackets seem to be a trend going on at the moment and I remember seeing one on a mannequin while I was shopping in the Sydney Topshop store. It was styled with a basic white tee and Mom jeans, and it just looked so damn cool. I was tempted to buy it, but decided against it, until I started seeing them appear on various fashion blogs and then thought, 'Yes. I need this in my life'. I'm cheating with this wishlist a little here as I've already purchased the Longline Duster Kimono and it's now currently on its way to me! I waited until payday and ended up grabbing the very last one that was also in my size. Talk about meant to be!

I don't normally consider myself a trend follower, I really just wear what I want to, when I want to, but I just can't get enough of the '90s revival thing going on. I absolutely adore chunky shoes and even though I have a pretty substantial collection of black boots and no space in my wardrobe for more, it's not enough of a reason to stop me from buying these. They're the Steely boots from Zu and just look at the silver zip detailing. LOVE. They're currently on sale at half price, so I have no choice, really. I've had this Tiffany & Co Link Clasp Bracelet on my wishlist for about two years now, and even though there's no chance in hell I'll be acquiring this any time soon, I thought I'd include this on my wishlist, anyway. I only ever wear silver jewellery and while I do own a few statement pieces, I'm mostly into my minimal jewellery. I think it's such a gorgeous, simple piece and one day I'll have this in my life. One day.

Yes, I am your average stereotypical beauty blogger who loves her Diptyque candles. Regardless of what you think about giving into blogger hype, there's no denying these are beautiful, beautiful candles. I'm currently burning my limited edition Joie candle and even though I have Baies and Eucalyptus in my reserves, I still want more. While shopping with Jennifer at Mecca, she introduced me to Pomander, which she said smelt like tea and oh my, it really does! Tea? Diptyque? This candle was made for me. When I saw the Baies Noire candle on Olivia's S/S wishlist, I knew I had to add it to my own too. I mean, just look at that sleek, sexy jar. I can only describe it using this emoji. My favourite thing to do during winter is to snuggle up in bed with a movie on my laptop while sipping on a cup of tea, and fill my room with the warm aroma of a Diptyque candle.

I've almost used up one of my perfumes in my collection, which means I can justify adding a new one to it soon. I've had my heart set on a Byredo parfum for quite some time because like Diptyque, they have some beautiful, unique scents that just exude luxury. Plus, I would be lying if I said the minimal packaging didn't tug on my heartstrings too. I'm still undecided on what scent I want, but I'm leaning towards the Pulp EDP at the moment. Lastly, no winter look is complete without a vampy red lipstick. As I mentioned in my Lipstick Tag, I'm currently lusting after Diva. I do own a few dark red lipsticks, but as I have a few empties to Back 2 MAC, there's nothing wrong with adding another if it's free!

Whether it's winter or summer where you live, let me know what's on your wishlist! I think wishlist posts are really fun and I love knowing what everyone's currently coveting.
