Elemis is a brand whose name I've seen thrown around here and there on the blogosphere, so when I was contacted to try a couple of their products from the Sp@Home Range, I was pretty keen to do so. Within the Sp@Home Range, there are six different categories: Body Exotics, Body Soothing, Body Awaken, Body Performance and Body Anti-Ageing. I decided to try a couple of products from the Body Soothing Range, which aims to nurture your body and relax your mind. Having never been to a day spa before as it's never really been something I've been interested in spending my money on, it's a unique concept that brings the spa to the comfort of your own home - perfect for unwinding from the work week or simply those relaxing days spent chilling out at home.
As someone who has trouble falling asleep at night, I decided to try the Quiet Mind Room Mist* and housed in a sleek thin glass bottle, the scent is comprised of patchouli, eucalyptus and ho wood. It's meant to help promote a sound and restful sleep, though it's actually quite refreshing, I imagine a lazy Sunday afternoon when I smell this. Having tried The Body Shop Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist in the past with no luck (in fact, I think it actually kept me up longer, so I gave it away), I've always been skeptical as to whether room sprays or pillow mists actually work. However, since trying this and the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, I'm really impressed and I can actually say that I have fallen asleep faster using them. The Elemis Quiet Mind Room Mist is refreshing, yet also relaxing so if you're stressed and in need some downtime or a good night's sleep, this may just do the trick. My only gripe with this is that the scent isn't that fragrant and doesn't linger as long as other sprays I've used. Having said that though, it does help relax a night owl like me and perhaps if you don't like anything too overpowering, this would be a room mist for you to consider.
More than just painting my toes whenever they need a fresh, new coat of colour, taking care of my feet is something I need to make more of an effort of. When the colder months set in, you'll usually find my butt parked in front of the heater, which only makes my tootsies, albeit, toasty warm, really dry. To remedy that this winter, I've taken to the Elemis Treat Your Feet Foot Cream*. It's a luxuriously thick cream, containing shea butter and jobaba oil for optimum hydration and moisture. It sinks beautifully into the skin and like the Quiet Mind Room Mist, has the uplifting scent of patchouli and eucalyptus, two notable ingredients commonly found in the Body Soothing Range.
