I'm sorry it's been a while since my last blog post! I don't really have an excuse apart from that I'm not living at home with all my stuff and I'm slowly running out of content for my blog. It sucks because I get so inspired by other blogs and there's so much I'd love to share with you all. I did plan blog posts before I left to come to Sydney, except I looked at all my photos I took for them and realised I'm not 100% happy with my photos. Everything was so rushed, the lighting was bad and I know I can do better. I know I said I was going to post photos of my room when I reached 300 followers, but I'm thinking of holding it off until I'm back in Perth. I know it's silly, but I'm just too much of a perfectionist and I'd rather post nothing than create blog posts I'm not fully satisfied with. I just want to deliver the best to my followers, so I hope you all understand. This sounds ridiculous, but I did actually bring a white bed sheet to Sydney with me, though the lighting still isn't the greatest in my room. When I move out of home one day, I need a place with white walls and big windows! The life of a blogger, right?
Pointless story aside, I thought I'd share with you some skincare purchases I made. They're mostly repurchases of products that I absolutely cannot live without and needed here with me in Sydney, with a couple of new bits thrown in for good measure. First up is our beloved Bioderma. Apparently they've changed the name of this stuff? I could easily Google it, but I'm sure that hot pink packaging speaks for itself. I bought my first bottle in Paris last year and I was crushed when it ran out. It's easily accessible online, but that particular bottle was from Paris! Oh, how I miss French pharmacies. I bought the big 500ml bottle for home use, the 250ml bottle to take here with me to Sydney and the cute 100ml bottle for my Melbourne trip. Sorted.
I made a little order on Feel Unique as I needed to stock up on the Emma Hardie cleansing cloths. I had one that came with the cleansing balm, but it was starting to get a little grubby and gross. I absolutely love these. They feel just as soft and luxurious on the skin as the balm does. I bought the Korres Mint Tea Shower Gel as I'd heard Essie talking about this one, and it intrigued me as I love both mint and tea. I wouldn't say it's minty at all - it's just a very fresh smell, perhaps a little on the masculine side, though I may just be saying that because I'm so used to using really sweet smelling shower gels. I wanted to try out the this works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray after hearing Vivianna rave on about this and seeing as my Body Shop Pillow Spray is on its last legs, I thought I'd add this to my basket. They smell very similar, though there is a slight difference and I have to say, the this works one is by far superior as the fragrance is much stronger and long lasting. A big cup of chamomile tea, pillow spray and a YouTube video (I don't know what it is about YouTube that helps me sleep!) before bed, and you're good to go!
I don't normally repurchase cleansers, but I fell in love with Avène's Gentle Gel Cleanser. It's a pretty basic cleanser, but it does its job and I love how soothing and gentle it is. Another French pharmacy buy that I was sad to see go is my Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I still have a little bit left of my first bottle, but I just had to buy it before it ran out as I'm addicted to this stuff. The smell takes me right back to my summer in Paris! A few new products I wanted to try were the REN Radiance Perfection Serum and cult products, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I can't give an opinion on Effaclar Duo and the Eight Hour Cream just yet as they're back home and I haven't really tried them out yet, but the REN Radiance Perfection Serum is just lovely. I bought this because I'm absolutely obsessed with the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and my skin looks so much fresher these days. The serum is a little on the sticky side, but for the gorgeous smell and radiance it adds to the skin, it doesn't bother me at all. In my Cosme-De order, they threw in a free sample of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye, which again, is back home. As a religious user of the serum, I have high hopes for the eye cream.
Last but not least, my beloved Liz Earle. I don't hear many bloggers talk about her anymore, but the relationship between Lizzy and I is still going strong. I tend to buy this in bulk with my best friend and go halves in shipping because we both love the products so much. It's my go-to makeup remover and apart from my pamper nights where I use Emma Hardie, I cannot imagine using anything else. I love the toner as it's soothing and cool on the skin, which made me want to try out the Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion. It feels just like cucumber slices on the eyes and is a great pick-me-up on those mornings where getting out of bed is the last thing you want to do.
What are some of the skincare products you constantly repurchase?
