Clothing Haul: Nasty Gal, Blackmilk, American Apparel, ASOS, Zalando and Urban Outfitters
Since the last time I showed my recent purchases and did a haul (I think it was in September!), boy, oh boy, have I done quite a bit of shopping since then. These are some of the clothing pieces I've bought online and as sometimes clothes can be hard to photograph, I thought I'd show you the pictures of them looking lovely on the models.
While I was away travelling last year, one of things I missed the most was being in the comfort of my own home doing a little bit of online shopping. Sad, but true. I couldn't wait to check out what new things Nasty Gal had in. With my love for all things pastel and studs, I bought a couple of tops, as well as an acid wash denim dress. I'm not exactly a fan of bodycon dresses, but I just loved the top half of it and the fact that it was acid wash, so I planned on wearing it as a top. It works really well as a top, except for the fact that your bra on the back is totally exposed! Is that acceptable to wear out? Please let me know!
Yes, I caved and I bought the infamous Blackmilk Galaxy leggings. I suppose by now galaxy print has been done to death, but who cares? I originally wanted to buy the purple ones, but after seeing a teen way trendier than me rock these with some black Vans in KFC (lol), I decided to copy her and buy the red instead. One of the disadvantages of being short is that I have to get everything taken up. I like wearing short dresses and skirts as it makes my legs appear longer than they are. I've had a couple of dresses and skirts taken up too much, however, which is annoying, as I don't exactly want to expose my behind to the world. To fix this problem, I bought some cute lace bicycle shorts from American Apparel to wear underneath. Seeing a little bit of exposed lace as opposed to underwear is much nicer, I think. There was this really cool mojito flavoured lip balm I wanted to buy from ASOS, but ordering one little thing online seems pretty pointless, so it was the perfect excuse to browse through the clothing. I just had to buy this Mink Pink crop top! Black, sheer and velvet. Isn't that the most perfect combination ever? So nineties!
My heart could've sunk when I saw this Evil Twin dress sold out on the Urban Outfitters website, but luckily I found it on Zalando and paid too much for it to have it shipped from the UK through Skypax. It was so worth it though. It's absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait for it to get cold enough to pair this with stockings and boots! Isn't this dress adorable? I really didn't need another black dress, but I couldn't resist the heart cutout! The extra back cutout beneath is gorgeous too. I'm not sure where to wear this yet, but I'm sure it'll look lovely when I'm with friends on a night out.
My burgundy obsession just won't let up. I do already own burgundy jeans, but I'll probably sell them now that I own these BDG ones that I prefer. They're meant to be those ankle grazer style jeans, but with my short legs, I'll never be able to get into that trend. They're still a nice length though and at least they don't bunch up like regular skinny jeans do on me. I had been after a nice pair of high-waisted burgundy shorts for a while and I just love these BDG ones. I think they're one of my favourite brands sold on Urban Outfitters. They're definitely right when they say they're cheeky, but don't worry, they still cover up! Or, y'know, that's what my American Apparel bicycle shorts are for.
I'm way overdue for a "real life shopping" haul, but I'll be splitting them up over a few posts because there's just too much!
