For the longest time, I had been wanting a pair of black suede Mary Jane type shoes with a chunky heel. There had been plenty around, but at being hopeless walking in heels, everything I found was too high and felt like I was going to break every bone in my foot. One day, I came across these lovely Tony Bianco 'Norton' heels, which I thought were amazing because I find it so much easier walking in wedges than heels, but unfortunately, they were sold out everywhere I looked online. After much Googling trying to find a similar type of shoe online, I came across these beautiful Jeffrey Campbells on Urban Outfitters. Immediately, I was sold!
My mum thinks they're too high, but they're actually shorter than the Tony Bianco shoes I wanted to originally get and I think they're the perfect height. I can't say how comfortable they are to wear out or how easy they are to walk in just yet as I'm still mustering up the courage to take these babies out of the house! From walking around in my bedroom, I can say that they're really comfortable and really soft though. For me, I don't like anything too tall because even though I'm short, they're just not practical and I can't walk in them well, but these however, are perfect. Not only are they a good height, but they are such a classic and sophisticated style that I don't think will go out of fashion any time soon.
No, my first pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes weren't Litas. I'm so in love with the Cosmic Litas, but I can't justify buying them as I'm not sure if I'd even wear them! Damn, they'd look good in my wardrobe though. I've also contemplated the Night Walks, but I can barely walk in a regular heel, let alone these! The 99 Ties are gorgeous too, but I think they're a discontinued style, which is such a shame. For now, I'm really happy with the one pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes I own as not only are they pretty, but they're practical too!
I don't think the black Adelaide wedges are on the Urban Outfitters website anymore, but the brown ones still are and they're on sale too. I paid full price for mine, but in Australia, a good pair of shoes will cost around $60-80. For a designer as popular as Jeffrey Campbell, $128 is very reasonable. I can't even imagine the retail price they'd be here!
Do you own any Jeffrey Campbell shoes? If so, which ones?
