Jeffrey Campbell 'Soiree' Gradient Heel Sandal
While browsing the Urban Outfitters website (as you do), I came across these beautiful shoes. At the time, I was trying to save my money, so I told myself I didn't need them, but when I couldn't get them out of my mind, I gave into temptation. I'm weak, I know, don't judge. Unfortunately, by then, they had sold out of my size, so it was a wild goose chase to try and find these beauties elsewhere. I don't think Jeffrey Campbell shoes are stocked anywhere in Australia, but I managed to find them on the UK website, Formosa Fashion.
Whenever I first buy a pair of heels, it always take a bit of courage for me to wear them out of the house as it feels a little daunting wearing a new pair. I'm not the most confident heel walker, so I worry about comfort and falling flat on my face. I haven't found the right occasion for these shoes yet, though I have walked around the house in them and while they're soft on my feet, the heel is a little steeper than what I'm used to walking in. Prior to buying them, I had read many reviews saying they're true to size and just as many saying to size down. In the end, I went with the smallest size and they fit like a glove. I was a little worried they were too small at first, but now I feel the next size up would have been too big and when wearing strappy heels, I think it's best to get a smaller size so your feet are more secure. I probably wouldn't wear these on a night out as they're far from dancing shoes, but they're the perfect dressy heels to wear on a date night, or if you're #foreveralone like me, a lovely dinner with the girls.
These are my second pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes (you can see my other pair here) and so far I can say they're worth every penny. The soles are very cushiony on the feet making them comfortable to walk in and not to mention, they look fabulous. I was particularly drawn to the Soirees as that gradient heel from black to clear is just so freaking amazing, I can't get over it. The black suede and large silver buckle add to the shoe's appeal, which to me, is a modern twist on a classic style. I do love Jeffrey Campbell's more 'out there' shoes, though I've never really considered buying any as for now, I am happy living vicariously through my favourite YouTubers (aka sunbeamsjess and grav3yardgirl).
I don't have my eyes on any other Jeffrey Campbell shoes at the moment, but I have a feeling this is only the beginning of my collection.
