Life lately has been pretty crazy. I had my family come visit me in Sydney, finished my internship at Jaden Social, had my best friend come visit me, turned 25 (I know, I'm OLD) and now I'm back home in Perth. I was busy making the most of my time left in Sydney, hence why it's been a little quiet on the blog front. Now that I'm back home though, I'm excited to get back into the swing of blogging.

Blog

I haven't been too into reading blogs lately, but one that I absolutely fell in love with was Ellalogy. I don't read too many American blogs, but Ellie's blog is just gorgeous and she has lovely taste in products. She's a really nice girl and I've been loving scrolling through reading post after post.

Music

I've been playing Free Your Mind by Cut Copy non-stop and as if I couldn't possibly love this band any more, I keep falling more in love with them. While their music has always been 80s inspired, I think they're taking their new album to the 90s and I'm so excited for its release next month. They're also playing at Future Music Festival and as summer is approaching, I'm going to have to start saving my money for all the music festivals. I also discovered the insanely talented young musician, Lorde, as well as upcoming Aussie band, Major Leagues. I decided not to do a September playlist because Cut Copy's new track is really only what I listened to, but I'll be sure to have an epic playlist of tunes for October.

Film and television

Last month, we had a team bonding session at Jaden Social, which consisted of pizza, beer and going to see Jobs. I was surprisingly impressed by Ashton Kutcher, but having said that, it was by no means a groundbreaking performance. I really liked the movie, but that could also be because I'm in love with all things Apple. I finally got around to watching The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and oh my gosh, I LOVED it. The acting was superb (even Emma Watson's, despite what people say) and I got chills when they played Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops by Cocteau Twins, as they're one of my all time favourite bands. I really need to read the book now! I didn't watch much TV in September, but at Jaden Social, one of our clients is the Asian reality TV show, The Apartment and needless to say, I'm hooked. I've been loving working on the show so much and I'm so happy I still get to continue to do work for them from home… and now I'll be getting paid too! I also finally finished watching the last series of Skins and I have to say, it was quite bleak compared the rest of the show. The last series just felt a little pointless, but it was also kind of interesting to see where the characters are now.

Beauty product

Nuxe's Rêve de Miel lip balm has been an absolute handbag staple. I stopped using it for a while as I was using other products, but when I decided to give it some love again, I couldn't stop loving it. My lips feel so moisturised when I wake up after applying it at night and it's great to use underneath lipstick as it's smooth, but not glossy or shiny.

Fashion item

I've been wearing skirts a lot lately since winter is officially over and the sun has been shining. My favourite one has been my Quirky Circus cream lace skirt. It looks super cute with a crop top and a chunky chain necklace to grunge up the look.

Life events

September was a huge month for me, I'm not even sure I remember all that happened! Various nights out with the Jaden Social crew, meeting up with an old friend from primary school who I hadn't seen in over ten years, my family and best friend coming to visit me in Sydney, IMATS, Taronga Zoo, celebrating my birthday and treating myself to the beautiful iPhone 5S, and getting the best haircut I've ever had! I really hope my hairdresser here in Perth will be able to style it exactly the same when I need it cut again.
