While the winter Perth mornings have been absolutely freezing this year and such a drag (especially when you have to wait at the bus stop by 7:30am for work), I'm lucky enough to live in a city where there's sunshine all year around. Unfortunately, for me, the day I choose to wear a nice outfit and take photos, it's gloomy and cloudy outside. Typical! I apologise for the pretty bad lighting in these photos as there wasn't a lot of natural sunshine prettiness and I had to make do with artificial light. I did my best with these photos though!
I wore this outfit to dinner at my friend's house, which was a really lovely night consisting of yummy vegan food, playing with her gorgeous dogs and lazing on the couch watching Summer Heights High and Angry Boys.
Working in the Childrenswear section of a department store, I come across so many adorable clothes everyday, including this Bardot Jnr sleeveless shirt I just had to have! I made my friend put it on hold for me at another store as we'd sold out of the biggest size at ours, haha. With a sale on top of my staff discount, I was able to save 55% on this top, which I was super happy about. It's a fraction too small around the chest, but not enough to annoy me or look terrible. They did make it in the adults range, but it was on clearance by the time I found out and I couldn't find it anywhere.
My faux leather skirt is from General Pants Co. and I think it's such a staple piece as it goes with everything. I love how my spiked necklace instantly adds so much power - I love when jewellery can totally transform an outfit. Lastly, my lipstick is from MAC's Posh Paradise Mattenes Collection from last year in the colour Unknown Pleasures. As much as I love the colour, I would be lying if I said I didn't buy this purely for the name as I'm a huge Joy Division fan.
