Hey, I'm Tenneil

I live in Perth, Australia, and this is my creative outlet where I blog about beauty, my life and everything in between. I enjoy the '80s, the '90s and anything French, and some of my favourite things in life include music,  film, summer and a nice cup of tea.

It's been a long time since I've done any sort of beauty haul and it probably comes with no surprise that I've bought a lot of products since then! I've had to split up the make up/skincare from nail polish because it just would've been too big of a post! I have quite an unhealthy obsession with nail polish - I think my collection is nearing 100, though I do have to sort through it and give away ones I don't reach for anymore as I just don't have the storage space to keep them all.

A trip to David Jones is always a dangerous one because without a doubt, I will have a browse at the OPI nail polishes and find a million colours that I want! A few months ago, I picked up the OPI Start to Finish Base & Top Coat as I am running out of of my other base and top coats, plus I thought this would be handy since it's a two in one. From the Yokohama Collection (I think this is a collection from last year that was only released in limited countries), I bought Yokohama Twilight and Baby Blue as I thought they were the dreamiest colours ever. Lastly, I also bought Birthday Babe as I thought it was a cool space-like colour and Brights Power as I'd been after a bright orange/coral. Orange really suits my skintone.

eBay is another dangerous place, but I love it because it means I pay less than half price for nail polish and can buy brands that aren't available in Australia. I'm not a huge fan of chunky glitter nail polishes (I think they can look rather tacky), but I fell in love with Glitter In The Air by Deborah Lippmann as it's not over the top. After hearing about SpaRitual nail polishes from grav3yardgirl, I bought Thunder Road as I fell in love with it after seeing it on Bunny herself. While browsing around the website, I impulsively added It's Raining Men to my cart too. It's a beautiful shimmery blue/green/pink duochrome colour and I'm so in love with it! After all the UK beauty bloggers started raving on about Essie nail polishes, it really got me back into them so I picked up Neo Whimsical and Tart Deco from eBay. Neo Whimsical is just gorgeous. It's like a powdery pink/purple colour and I can't stop staring at my nails as I'm wearing it right now! Essie don't chip easily either, which I love.

Also from eBay, I bought Space Cadet and Galaxy Girl by Orly from the Cosmic FX 2010 Fall Collection. I really love galaxy/space/cosmic nail polish colours and I'd been contemplating buying these for long, and I'm so glad I finally did. I also bought Jem by Zoya, which looks similar to Space Cadet in the bottle, but it's a lovely shimmery warm purple colour.

In other news, I'm going on a spontaneous trip to Bali for five days on Sunday! My mum is on holidays from work at the moment and really wants to go. The rest of the family is staying for eight days, but I'm coming home early as I've still got a lot to organise for my Europe trip. I may have to organise a few scheduled posts for while I'm away in Europe. I don't want to leave you all for a whole six weeks!
