Hey, I'm Tenneil

I live in Perth, Australia, and this is my creative outlet where I blog about beauty, my life and everything in between. I enjoy the '80s, the '90s and anything French, and some of my favourite things in life include music,  film, summer and a nice cup of tea.

I'm Baaack!

I'm Baaack!

Heyyy, look who it is! I've finally made my return to blogging and I'm so happy to be here again! If you don't remember, early last month, my house was broken into and I lost a lot of things, including my laptop. I've had my beautiful new MacBook Pro for about two weeks now, but in that time, I've been recovering my lost music and photos, and "settling" into my new laptop, if that makes any sense.

At the time of the break in, I went through the worst few days of my life where I'd just cry myself to sleep at night. Part because I lost my most valuable possessions that I worked fucking hard to pay for, part because it scared me to think some sick stranger was in my house without my permission. Every time I leave the house, I'm so paranoid now, but at the same time, I'm scared to stay home alone too. For the most part though, I'm happy and in a much better place. In hindsight, things could've been a lot worse, so I'm thankful for that. Our insurance company, GIO, were incredible. My family and I received all brand new electronics and I got an amazing sum of money for my stolen jewellery. It totally was not expected, but because I was able to provide photos of my jewellery storage and make a list of everything I lost, they insured me for everything. Can you imagine if I hadn't taken photos? Let's just say thank God I blog! See, taking photos of your shopping isn't a total waste of time. As well as taking photos, I've now learnt to back up my laptop regularly and keep receipts of everything.

I missed my blog's first birthday (24th of March), which I'm a little bummed about, but oh well. Happy belated birthday, blog! It's been a wonderful year reading some of the most creative and inspiring blogs and getting to know you girls whilst sharing our addiction to fashion and beauty!

After the whole break in ordeal was over, I went to Japan earlier this month for nine days and had an absolute blast. It was my first time overseas and it was the most perfect first overseas trip ever. Like, I can even't comprehend. I won't go into detail though because that's a whole other blog post!

Anyway, so this is just a rambly blog post to let you all know I'm back and I'm fine. To those of you who commented on my last blog post, thank you so much. It meant so much to me and I can't wait to start reading all your blogs again! It's been nice to keep to do date with your lives through Instagram, so if you have it, please let me know! I've been so eager to get back on here. I'll have my Japan trip post up later this week and then there will be lots of hauls to follow because I. Cannot. Stop. Shopping.
