Hey, I'm Tenneil

I live in Perth, Australia, and this is my creative outlet where I blog about beauty, my life and everything in between. I enjoy the '80s, the '90s and anything French, and some of my favourite things in life include music,  film, summer and a nice cup of tea.

Jewellery Storage

Jewellery Storage

Jewellery Display Box from Buyster

Late last year, I decided to reorganise my bedroom a little bit and I bought some new storage pieces, which included new make up storage, a bedside table and of course, jewellery storage. All my bedroom furniture is white, so when I simply typed in 'white jewellery storage' (or something along those lines) into Google Images, I found the most perfect display box! To my luck, the website, Buyster, was Australian too. The whole process of buying it however, was the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I bought this display box back in November and only just received it on Tuesday. Yes, it took FOUR months! Basically, I got sent a clock instead, it took ages to come back in stock and it's just a whole ordeal I don't want to get into. I finally have my perfect jewellery storage, so I'm happy I waited. If you decide to purchase this, hopefully you'll have a more pleasant buying experience than I did!

The jewellery display box looks like it has three drawers, but it has two. The top drawer is actually the cubed display part. The cubed display houses all my rings, earrings, anklets, a couple of dainty necklaces and my Pandora bracelet because I find if it touches other metals, it tarnishes. The first drawer contains necklaces, some bracelets (which wouldn't fit in the second drawer), my Juicy Couture Snowflake necklace and my mini Casio watch (which I need to haul and needs links taken out of). Lastly, the second drawer contains bracelets and bangles. I love bangles, but unfortunately, they never fit my tiny wrists and always fall off. I've contemplated getting rid of them because I never wear them, but they're too pretty!

Just recently, my mum bought me the cutest mouse ring display from a gift shop close by her work. She knows I love chunky rings, so she thought of me when she saw this. Cute, right? She told me they have different animals too. For my bigger "statement" necklaces, I hang them on three basic 3M hooks, which are just from my local supermarket. Having your necklaces on display in your room adds prettiness and personality, I think. I used to have just two hooks, but I needed to add a third because my jewellery collection was just growing at a rapid rate!

I'm really happy with my new jewellery storage. Before I got my display box, I kept it all in four tiny boxes scattered around my room and it was just so hard to keep organised and to find everything. It bothered me a lot because I'm such an organisational freak! Plus, I never wore a lot of my jewellery because it was too hard to find. Now that I have it all right in front of me, it'll be much easier to find, which will be a huge time saver when I'm getting ready.

How do you store your jewellery? Do you have any organisational tips you'd like to share? If you see something in my collection that catches your eye and you'd like to know where I got it from, just let me know in the comments!

P.S. With all the Google drama going on, I've finally added all my favourite blogs to Bloglovin'. If you'd like to follow me there too, you can do so by clicking here. I've started getting back into Tumblr as well, so follow me there as well, if you'd like to. I'm into the goth/punk/80s/90s imagery, but I also love the girly, beauty and French things too, as well as film and television. I've contemplated getting Twitter, but I really don't need another social networking website to distract me from real life!
